Vosteed & Xixi Forest — Caring for Stray Cats Together

At Vosteed, kindness to animals is at the heart of what we do. Our cofounder, Yue Dong, is a long-time animal-welfare volunteer who, alongside Vosteed colleagues, has rescued and adopted many stray cats. To expand this work, we partnered with Xixi Forest Cat Care Association (founded May 2013) to improve the lives of stray cats across Southern China.
What we do together • Urgent medical care: Providing immediate treatment for injured and sick cats.
• Responsible pet-keeping: Promoting “adopt, don’t buy” and caring ownership.
• Humane TNR (trap–neuter–return) to stabilize communities: Supporting lawful programs to stabilize and reduce stray populations.
• Advocacy: Encouraging stronger animal welfare protections and sensible legislation.
2025 by the numbers • 8,000 stray cats sterilized through TNR efforts led by Xixi Forest with essential monetary and material support from Vosteed.
• USD 7,000 personal donation from Yue Dong.
• 1,000 TNR kit bags sponsored by Vosteed, plus donated cat food and rescue supplies.
• Vosteed’s support helps Xixi Forest reach a 70–80% sterilization rate in operational areas.
Recognition & shared values
Xixi Forest invited founder Yue Dong to deliver a keynote and presented him with the Outstanding Cat Rescue and Care Honor — a testament to our shared commitment to practical, humane action.
