Say hello to the Vombat – your new EDC champion that's both tough and adorable, just like the ferocious wombat.

The Vombat features a sharp 2.92" M390 claw blade housed in a neutral, ergonomic, CNC-textured aluminum body. Blade shape options include both Bowie and Zulu styles.

We didn't hold back on the jimps—our signature dual jimping on the spine enhances precision cutting, while additional jimping at the rear of the handle provides better control.

For added versatility, the triple standoff system also allows for lanyard attachment and improved grip.

It's the perfect blend of "wow" and "oh yes!"—ready to slice through your tasks like a wombat digging through the earth.

Pro tip: Keep it away from your koala friends—they might get jealous.

1. Swappable Adjustable Scale (Patent Pending)

(1) Swappable Scales

The Vombat features a crossbar lock mechanism with a quick-swap scale system.
Simply unscrew the scale screws, and you're ready to swap in new scales!

To make it even better, you can 3D print your own handle scales and create a custom look.

(2) Adjustable Tension

The SAS system also allows for easy adjustment of the omega spring tension via the music note indicators on the liners.

(3) Adjustable Tightness and Centering

A dedicated service hole on the pocket-clip side of the scale lets you conveniently fine-tune the blade's tightness and centering.

2. Sandwich-Inspired Crossbar Construction

Traditional crossbar knives are built around the pivot sets, making disassembly and reassembly time-consuming.

With our innovative sandwich-inspired system, we've simplified the process:
Just stack the layers, tighten the screws, and add the scales as the final step—no struggle, no hassle.

All body screws are T8, so there's no need to switch screwdrivers mid-assembly.

3. Ball Roll Bar (Patent Pending)

The Vombat features a unique locking structure with a centrally placed, lathed spherical element.

This small but powerful innovation improves the lock's smoothness, reduces friction, and enhances the long-term reliability of the crossbar mechanism.

4. Wire Clip Plate (Patent Pending)

The wire clip comes with a aluminum deco plate—yes, it's a wombat thing.

This cubic plate can be laser-etched with your personal logo, adding a touch of customization to your carry.

“Vombat: Perfect Blade, Solid Build, Room to Grow”

I’m very happy with the Vosteed Vombat. It’s a well-made, functional knife with excellent proportions, and the Zulu blade shape is exactly what I needed for everyday carry. The blade steel is a great choice and performs well.

I was a little hesitant about the wire pocket clip at first, but after some use I’ve grown to really appreciate its strength and practicality. My only small critique is that the handle could use a bit more contouring for improved ergonomics, especially for larger hands. This could potentially be addressed with optional handle scale variations, which I hope Vosteed might offer in the future—particularly in carbon fiber and or Micarta.

Overall, the Vombat is an outstanding knife, and I’m very satisfied with my purchase.

Vombat Zulu Blade

Nice little knife. Lighter and smaller than my other Vosteeds. Doesn’t have that nice “SNIKT!” on deployment but it’s a small knife. Nice and sharp out of the box. Awesome customization options. Great 5th pocket knife.

Just Amazing!

I overall really like this knife, it is my first ever Vosteed, and I am not disappointed. Its really well customisable and the crossbar innovation they have done... made it insanely smooth. I hope they will use it on the upcoming crossbar models too.

Great new knife!

I've been carrying the new Vosteed Vombat for several weeks now and really love the knife. It's got a nice weight to it. Feels good in the hands and deploys nicely. For reference I have medium size hands and prefer knife blades in the 2.9" - 3.2" range. I got the spear point over the bowie, but might have to pick up a bowie too... really couldn't decide. The scales are nice and not too agressive going into the pocket. I did adjust the omega spring to make it a little lighter. This was a VERY easy task with the way you can remove the scales without full disassembly. The only other change I made was to get rid of the little plastic bar in the wire clip... it looks nice and the idea is cool, but in practice it was a pain and got caught on my pocket when trying to slide it in. Blade came super sharp and I haven't had to sharpen it yet with my limit usage (opening some packages and cutting some rope). I know Vosteed has a crazy amount of knives but few actually click for me... up until now it was just the smaller Thunderbird that was in my rotation. This knife doesn't have that same fidget factor but has still made it into my rotation. Good job!
