ben-jam-in This thing just glides through material. The geometry of the blade and profile of the handle just makes cutting simply easier. I purchased a mini N-shade off the secondary market with Ultem scales and in 14c28n steel and was so impressed I decided to pick up the full sized and with premium Elmax steel. The one change isn’t even near a deal breaker but the hole in the blade for deployment via the middle finger reverse flick takes a bit of time to master only because the left liner has to be a little taller so only the right side scale and liner are recessed to allow easier access to the liner lock therefore also giving you more access to the blade hole. It doesn’t mean you can’t reverse flick it only that it takes more effort and technique you’ll figure out. Now I’ve just gotta decide what version of the Shillen cutter vanchor lock (pivot button lock) I want to buy.

I've been wanting something in Elmax for some time now. I try to buy American as much as I can, and was really looking for a USA made product. This knife looked gorgeous though, fit my requirements, price was right, so I couldn't pass it up. It arrived, and the packaging was very well done. In fact, I'll keep the hard case it arrived in.
The knife itself is amazing! Everything is fit and finished well, zero blade slop on a centered blade. The micarta handle feels fantastic and the knife just site extremely comfortable in hand. Opening it is smooth and clean, with a seemingly perfect weight and balance to the blade. It swings open and engages the liner lock securely, with confidence and purpose! I'm happy I got the filagree, as this is definitely a knife to be passed down! Above all that? The blade was actually more than shaving sharp out of the box! I was stoked! I took a 2"x3" patch of hair from my arm like butter - I was just wiping it off in a single pass!
While it is beautiful, I carry my knives to be used. I use this on my property and it holds it's edge very well. LOVING the Elmax. I even cut apart dozens of cardboard boxes the other day, and their edge work was good enough that I was still able to shave my arm hair after. All in all, this is my first experience with the company, and their work, but it won't be my last. Getting such a rock solid, well made knife, in Elmax, at this price...I'll DEFINITELY be back! Great job Vosteed!

This is hands down one of my favorite EDC blades! Amazing ergonomics and the blade just slices like a laser beam! Fit and finish are always spot on with Vosteed! Don't think anymore... just buy it!
