Outstanding edc

When I first recieved it the micarta felt a bit rough and jagged after some use and the oils from my hand going into the scale its a much better feel. Works well for edc and the lock is sufficient for most edc tasks but if you need to do heavy cutting or battoning you'll want to go with a fixed blade instead. The opening action is easy and this knife works well for one handed open and close thanks to the top liner lock button. The pocket clip seems well made and has survived through several snags. It is also can be switched sides making this work for a lefty though the button lock would then been where you put pressure with your hand and possible close during use. So lefty friendly but not made for a lefty. Knife comes reasonable sharp but definitely can't take a sharper edge I personally shaped and sharpened it at 25 degrees and its been holding an edge longer then the factory sharpen. Would definitely recommend to others. Knife is fairly well balanced from the finger grip surtout just behind the blade making this a slightly front heavy design.and the blade when collapsed on mine sits slightly more to one side then in the center. It's not horribly off but if you like things uniform then it will bug you. Cuts well and has held up to daily use for the last month for me.

Small and light

The Raccoon with Micarta scales is a well-made, thoughtfully designed knife. The liner lock is solid and secure, the blade came razor sharp out of the box, and the action is smooth with a satisfying click. I also really like the Micarta scales which are grippy without being too rough, and they give it a nice, classic look.

That said, while it's a great knife in terms of quality and function, it's a bit smaller and lighter than what I usually carry. I prefer knives with a little more size and weight-something that feels a bit more substantial in hand. The Raccoon is excellent for lightweight EDC, but if you're like me and favor larger folders or fixed blades with a bit more heft, this might feel a little underwhelming.

Still, for anyone looking for a reliable, compact knife with quality construction, this is a solid choice. Just not quite the size onally gravitate toward.
