Vombat Fixed Blade
The original Vombat became a favorite, so we kept its familiar shape and reworked it as a fixed blade.
Why AEB-L
AEB-L was a frequent request from fixed-blade users in our community.
Known among custom and handmade fixed-blade makers for its fine edge, toughness, and ease of sharpening, it felt like a natural fit for this version of Vombat.
Heat treated to 59±1 HRC, it offers good corrosion resistance and a stable edge that is less prone to chipping.
Two Blade Profiles
The 3.16" blade is available in two profiles.
The Drop Point offers a balanced cutting edge and controlled tip for general use. Two jimping sections along the spine provide added control in different grips.
The Bowie features a longer sweep and a more defined point.
Handle Details
An orange G10 liner sits beneath the outer G10 or Micarta scales, creating a visible accent along the side of the handle.
The Drop Point versions use rounded handle contours for a comfortable fit in the hand.
The Bowie version with textured G10 features broad three-dimensional chamfers for a more defined grip.
A small front guard helps keep the hand from sliding forward toward the blade.
Compact Sheath
The sheath uses a folded construction instead of a two-piece shell, keeping the overall profile compact.
Retention can be adjusted, while a slightly raised curve near the opening gives the thumb a natural push point when releasing the knife.
