Psyop - Top Liner Lock Knife (3.32" Elmax Blade & Glow-in-the-Dark Micarta Handle) - A2237

When the lights go out, the Psyop lights up.

Together with Geoff Blauvelt (Tuff Knives), we chose Glow-in-the-Dark Micarta to bring a more expressive and playful character to the Psyop. 

This is not just a visual trick — the Micarta still delivers that familiar ultra-comfortable grip, with a slightly organic, natural feel in hand that only adds to its character over time.

It carries its own identity during the day, but once darkness hits, the glow effect ties everything together in a subtle, almost “hidden” signature detail.

To finish the design, the aluminum pivot collar and backspacer add a clean contrast, giving the knife a more defined and structured visual balance.

The GID Micarta Psyop also comes with a reversible deep carry clip, making it easy to carry for both left-handed and right-handed users.

Workhorse for the Tasks

The Psyop features 3.32" Elmax blade with excellent wear resistance, strong corrosion resistance, and outstanding dimensional stability. At 0.138" (3.5mm) thick behind the finish, the blade combines a generously ground belly for smooth slicing with a pointed tip for precise piercing and detail work.

From opening packages and daily utility tasks to outdoor use and extended cutting sessions, the Psyop is designed to perform with confidence and consistency.

Intuitive and Fun Action

The Psyop features a button-operated Top-liner lock, combining intuitive control, solid lock-up, and a fun, fidget-friendly experience.

The oblong-shaped button is easy to access and integrates seamlessly into the handle design. Paired with a ceramic ball-bearing system, the knife deploys smoothly via both the front flipper and thumbhole.

The front flipper geometry has been carefully tuned — optimized height and angle allow for a natural thumb swipe opening. Once deployed, the flipper blends into the handle line, creating a clean, continuous silhouette that feels both functional and refined.
