At 2.99", the US-made Crucible S35VN blade delivers top-notch edge retention and corrosion resistance. Listening to fan feedback, we refined the blade-to-handle ratio by minimizing the blade choil — giving you a longer, uninterrupted cutting edge for better slicing performance.
Some prefer a larger choil for a secure forward grip and more control — that's why this version doesn't replace the big Psyop, but simply adds another option for those who want maximum cutting length.

Purposefully designed to merge vintage character with modern minimalism, the handle is built from US-made Norplex UltreX™ Micarta scales and paired with asymmetrical titanium or brass bolsters.

Gabor Hajagos The Psyop 299 is a great knife. The design and quality are almost unbeatable in this price range.
Unfortunately the lock is not perfect.
The lock mechanism of the knife I ordered from the website was not good at all, It had a serious lock stick!
I ordered a second copy from another website and that was perfect.
So i must deduct a star for the issue.

Andres Liivas Pyop299 is a good size for everyday carry. The micarta handle feels very pleasant. A couple of small things have been a bit annoying so far: the lock button is recessed and sticks out only a little from the handle — my hand and fingers are rather large, so I need to adjust my finger and press quite firmly to push the button deep enough to release the lock. And another thing — when opening/closing, the blade made a rather unpleasant squeaking sound; I had to oil it a bit. Still, the action is not as smooth as on some other models.
Overall impression and experience are still positive.

Ryan Buck The Psyop 2.99 is the goldilocks of a knife. Just right. Great utilitarian size, solid steel, my favorite locking system. The bolster gives it a traditional look, but with modern materials. This is a great knife, at a very reasonable price. Vosteed has quickly become my favorite knife brand. The only thing that would make them even better is having a variety of grind options in top models, especially hollow grinds on some of their sub 3.5in blade models, or compound grinds.

KB Handle nice, blade size and shape nice, opening action clean. But the close button may be too short?? To close, have to push all the way down but the thumb gets stopped by the outer top handle. Not sure.. but cool knife will reach out to Vosteed.

Sean Mac Perfect little blade, sharp and clean, perfect thumb studs, just the right size, perfect ergos, Vosteed your killing it. Love the top liner lock, really good action. Nice micarta, and just the right color pop on the back spacer & stud. Ditch the wire clip for milled and take it to the moon.
