A fresh new look is here. Together with Geoff Blauvelt (TuffKnives), we've upgraded the handle with premium Current Micarta from Current Composites (USA) — delivering a refined texture, excellent grip, and that unmistakable natural feel.
Each handle is one of a kind, with its own unique grain and color variation — no two Psyops are ever exactly the same. That's the beauty of Current Micarta.
To top it off, the aluminum pivot collar and backspacer add a sleek touch of contrast, making the design pop even more.
The new Micarta Psyop also comes with a reversible deep-carry clip, ensuring comfortable use for both left- and right-handed users.
Workhorse for the Tasks
The Psyop features 3.32"" Elmax blade that has excellent wear resistance, good corrosion resistance, and high dimensional stability. The 0.137” (3.5mm) thick (finished) Elmax blade has both a generously ground belly for effortless slicing and a pointed tip for accurate piercing. Whether you're slicing through packages, performing detailed tasks, or tackling outdoor activities, the Psyop is up to the challenge.
Intuitive and Fun Action
The Psyop features a button-operated Top-liner lock, which combines intuitive operation, high sturdiness, as well as fun fidget experiences.
The oblong-shaped button is easy to access and fits the overall knife style seamlessly. Equipped with a ceramic ball-bearing system, the Psyop can be smoothly deployed with both a front flipper and thumbhole.
Especially, the height and angle of the front flipper are precisely engineered for ultimate thumb swipe open action. Once the knife is deployed, the front flipper will merge with the continuation line of the handle to form an eye-pleasing sleek profile.

Customer I love the knife no doubt about it I'm very glad I was able to get the variation that I wanted Molly complain about the knife is the thumb hole as I'm not a big fan I really wish there was a thumb stud version that would be really nice but overall it's a very good knife super Sharp fits nice in the hand it's full size for sure!

Jeff D. First and foremost, the micarta scales are an absolute home run. The look and texture are spot-on—couldn’t be happier with them.
Now for the things I’d like to see improved. For a top liner lock, this knife isn’t quite as smooth as my Psyop 299, Hedgehog, or Raccoon. I’m not sure why, but this Psyop has a slightly “clacky” feel when it opens and drops shut. This is straight out of the box with no adjustments made.
That said, the blade itself is excellent—super slicey, a great all-around size, and the jimping on top provides really solid control.
I’d also love to see this model offered with thumb studs. The knife is well-suited for larger hands or gloves, and thumb studs would complement that perfectly. A wire clip would also be a welcome addition.
Overall, it’s a solid knife with fantastic scales and a very capable blade—just a few tweaks away from being truly top-tier.
