Xeno — Engineered Beyond Function
The Xeno is our latest collaboration with Geoff Blauvelt of TuffKnives, boldly exploring biomechanical design inspired by the dark, unsettling aesthetics of H.R. Giger. Diving into that vision, Geoff set out to create something beyond the conventional knife. Engineered rather than forged, it makes a lasting impression at first glance.
A Blade That Breaks Familiar Shapes
The Xeno's 3.23" Vanax blade is bioacid-resistant and features a dual-section edge—sharp in both geometry and attitude. It has a cold, almost alien presence: deliberate, precise, and instantly recognizable. Crafted from Uddeholm's nitrogen-rich Superclean stainless steel, Vanax delivers exceptional corrosion resistance and edge stability. Even a 240-hour salt-mist test barely phases it.
Biomechanical Titanium Architecture
The titanium handle is formed through multiple precision processes, including high‑vacuum finishing, producing a solid, refined structure. Subtle biomechanical lines flow through the frame like exoskeletal plating, reinforcing strength while amplifying Xeno's dark, futuristic presence. Purposefully placed screws read like eyes in the shadows, adding tension and depth without clutter.
The Power of the Vanchor Lock
The Xeno deploys via thumbhole or the upgraded Vanchor Lock. Open it with a smooth slow roll or an action‑packed reverse flick. The upgraded Vanchor Lock delivers a crisp, finely tuned opening sound and a lockup that feels solid and unwavering—mechanical, confident, precise.
Purposeful Details, No Excess
A 3D CNC‑milled titanium pocket clip mirrors the handle's sculpted geometry, blending rigid material with organic flow. A long titanium backspacer reinforces the frame, adding visual tension and structural continuity. Every detail serves a purpose—nothing ornamental, nothing accidental. As a subtle extra, the Xeno includes a mini Vanax pry bar, a tangible reminder of the steel's resilience for those curious enough to test it.
In a cold, alien-feeling world, are you ready to embrace precision, tension, and the darker side of engineered design?

Biomechanical Titanium Handle
The handle was shaped step by step, not rushed.
CNC-machined titanium with flowing, biomechanical lines, designed to feel controlled, balanced, and intentional in hand.

Vanax Dual-Section Blade
This blade didn’t start with a shape—it started with an idea.
Formed through two separate hand-finished grinds, the 3.23" Vanax blade slowly found its edge, built to resist corrosion and hold its line with quiet precision.

Titanium Backspacer
The backspacer wasn’t added at the end—it was planned from the beginning.
A long titanium spine that reinforces the frame and quietly ties the whole structure together.
