form a Joint Forces to Stabilize and Reinforce the Lock. No matter whether the lock is

engaged or not, there will always be contacts among the three parts, thus creating an

integral fail-safe system.

It's our most sincere wish that our Patented V-anchor lock Ankylo can bring joy to you, and put a big smile on your face.

The Ankylo is powerdered by a 3.18" Bohler Elmax Blade. The Elmax steel is a well-rounded

blade material that combines excellent edge retention, high wear resistance, good

corrosion resistance, high toughness, and ease of sharpening. The Handles are made

from 6061 Aerospace Grade Aluminum, which offers great Strenghth to Weight Ratio,

and Allows Colorful Anodization.

The Elmax reverse tanto blade is designed to have a sharp edge and a strong tip for

precision cutting and piercing. Combined with a nice belly,  the Ankylo is true

multitasker for jobs like opening packages, cutting paper and cardboard, sharpening

pencils, preparing food, and skinning electrical wiring or cables.

Whenever you open the knife, you hear the SWISH! This pleasing sound is well-designed

Hey, I'm Yue, a fellow knife enthusiast, and I love working on different mechanical designs.

When I was a kid, tearing apart gadgets has become my favorite hobby.

Ever since I joined the EDC and knives community, different locking mechanisms have fascinated me.

After talking with my knife friends, doing a pivot lock knife has become my obsession.

After two years of trial and error, and tons of discussions with other knife makers, users,

and mechanical engineers, the V-Anchor lock finally is here. It has been a long,

challenging, but extremely rewarding journey. Every thought has moved from my head

to the paper, then to the CAD, and finally become a working prototype.
 

One thing I deeply appreciate is the support and knowledge from our knife community.

Last year, when I took the first prototype to the Blade Show, I just couldn't get the

detent to work properly. After talking to several people, I figured that by adding a detent

ball on the lock block, this problem could be solved. Another problem that I

encountered in the first two rounds of prototyping was that I couldn't create enough

clearance depth for the lock to travel. Thanks to my local mechanic friend, I changed the

shape of the lock block, and the third prototype finally worked. Lastly, filing a patent was

a huge challenge for me, and I can't thank Vosteed group members enough for all the tips that they gave me.

To be honest, I still feel surreal that we have tuned an idea into a working tool. Nothing

is more rewarding to me than seeing all the smiles and joy that Ankylo brings.
