VANCHOR LOCK

The Ankylo is our first knife design featuring the innovative Vanchor lock mechanism. This 2-in-1 system combines a pivot and button, allowing for an effortlessly magical way to close the knife.

The Vanchor lock integrates a magnetic connector and a robust lock plate, working together to ensure both stability and reinforcement. Additionally, the lock's design guarantees that the pivot/button remains recessed, regardless of the lock's engagement, for seamless operation and a sleek appearance.

HIGH PERFORMANCE

The Ankylo is powerdered by a 3.18" Bohler Elmax Blade. The Elmax steel is a well-rounded blade material that combines excellent edge retention, high wear resistance, good corrosion resistance, high toughness, and ease of sharpening.

ERGONOMIC HANDLE

The Handles are made from 6061 Aerospace Grade Aluminum. They offer a great strength-to-weight ratio, and we did tons of tests to find the most comfortable handle shape for you. To take the ergonomics to the next level, all corners of the handle are double CNC chamfered.

Scrubby action, now expensive paper weight

The blade is amazing and the lock is well done. The action constantly sounds like it’s scraping though. Also, I was actuating the lock and the actual button came off so it’s just gone. I can’t even use the knife anymore. I loved it (other than the scrubbing action) while it worked, however it’s just an expensive paperweight at the moment.

Action is very sticky, can’t flip with flipper tab, hurts my finger and front flipping is a no go. That one is probably me to some extent. Like the looks and been thinking about rebuilding it to see if I can get it to work better. Put a little bit of knife oil and it didn’t help

Mixed Review

I was excited about this knife when it came out, and I even pre ordered it. When I received it however, it was stiff and the action was not fluid. Upon further inspection whoever put the knife together from the factory tightened one of the t7 screws to infinity, causing it to strip. I ended up returning it. I’m sure the knife would have been great if that hadn’t happened, but for $170 that’s unacceptable. I own several other Vosteed knives and I love the company. It’s just unfortunate that this happened.
