Nip-L
Designed by Divo Knives — Kevin and Colin
The Nip-L began with a simple idea: bring the spirit of the original Nip into a larger format. Divo Knives — Kevin and Colin, with Kevin also known as LeftyEDC — had explored the design before, but this version needed more than added size. It called for new proportions, new balance, and a lock that suited the design. That idea became the Nip-L.
This is not simply a stretched Nip. The geometry, grip, and balance were reworked to make the knife feel right at this size, while keeping the original's clean, purposeful character.
Blade
The 3.15" Elmax blade is hollow grind for precise, efficient cutting in daily use. It offers a solid balance of edge retention, corrosion resistance, and practicality, with a shape and grind made for real cutting rather than display.
Handle
The handle is CNC-machined titanium, paired with a titanium backspacer and clip. Ergonomics were developed specifically for this size rather than carried over from the smaller model. To preserve the clean exterior, the clip mounts internally and the branding is kept on the inner scale.
Lock
The original Nip used a liner lock. On the Nip-L, that idea was reworked into a Top Liner Lock — a functional change that also made the overall design feel more resolved.
Left-Hand Option
A limited number of left-hand versions are also available, machined on dedicated CNC toolpaths and shaped specifically for left-handed carry and use.
