The Trek Lock (patent pending) is an innovation that perfectly combines multi-deployment options (i.e. thumb-hole, thumb-stud, front flipper, normal flipper) with a reliable & intuitive locking mechanism. No more thumbs in the closing path, always more ways to play with.
The mechanism can reduce unintended unlock accidents.
The knife is more than a cutting tool. You will enjoy using this intuitive, pleasant, ambidextrous innovation.

    THE BLADE

The Thunderbird is equipped with a 3.25” Elmax blade with a compound grind. Elmax is a high-end stainless steel and is known for its excellent balance of wear resistance, corrosion resistance, toughness, and edge retention.
Traditional Tantō has superior piercing performance, and the tip is further reinforced by a harpoon structure.
Shallow compound hollow grind for slicing performance and edge stability.
Straight fuller offers a sleek yet sophisticated appearance.

    THE HANDLE

Two versions of Thunderbird for you to choose from, the gray titanium and the black titanium. Their clean and modern look complements your everyday style.
Gray - Crafted with precision from high-quality titanium, the handle boasts an elegant gray finish. The blade on the gray version has a two-tone finish, brushed plus bead blasted finish takes the blade to the next level!

Black - For those who appreciate both form and function, the Black Titanium with Frag Pattern delivers in spades. The handle features a striking black titanium finish with a distinctive frag pattern, adding a touch of edginess to your EDC collection.

    Finally the pinnacle Thunderbird

I’ve had two Thunderbirds for a while, but always hoped for a Ti version because I prefer micarta and Ti to G10. Add a better blade steel and you get the pinnacle Vosteed knife.

Weakish button lock. Great materials. Multiple fun deployments. Good looking.

I’ll start this review with the positives because there are many. The materials and price are hard to beat. Titanium and elmax for $200?!?! Ridiculous. Great front flipper but reverse flips with obvious ease. I’m terrible at reverse flipping but someone skilled could do it no doubt. You can use the button lock to deploy it too. That makes this a fun knife to own and it feels like a true premium knife quality wise. I like the aesthetic too but that’s subjective. Also the blade came razor sharp. Cut myself more than once goofing off with it. The only thing keeping me from giving a full 5 stars is I think the detent can be a little stronger, not a lot more though. Also the button lock has failed the spine whack test. I know that doesn’t demonstrate real EDC use. But I give 5 stars to basically flawless designs. For the materials, price, deployments, aesthetics I definitely recommend this knife.

    No issues, solid.

It does sound like a low frequency thunder crack. Feels sturdy and figity. I did the spine wack 5 times and it held. The titanium might make the plunge more solid. It was good for me. The detent is short so it bounces when closing. Jimping could be slightly more aggressive on spine. But I like it.

This knife looks and feels great. It came extremely sharp and is very fidgety. However the lock is weak and will fail when tapping the spine of the blade.
