  • The Morel is our second knife collaboration with R.S. Knifeworks. Rob is an avid knife designer with a passion for nature and foraging. Inspired by the valuable knowledge shared on 'Learn Your Land' hosted by Adam Haritan, Rob decided to create a unique knife named 'Morel' as a tribute to his admiration for the channel. In a gesture of appreciation, Rob presented the Morel prototype #001 to Adam. The Morel is a design connecting the knife world with the world of wilderness exploration.

    Functional Design

With its well-though-out combination of materials and thoughtful design, the Morel has firmly established itself as one of the most functional and distinctive folding knives in the world of gardening and horticulture.

    Versatile Blade Shape

Designed with mushroom hunting enthusiasts in mind, the Morel boasts an uncommon and highly practical blade shape. The blade's lower pivot point, compound grind, and generous height and width all come together to make the Morel an outstanding EDC companion for anyone who values versatility and performance.

    Well-thought-out Materials

What truly sets the Morel apart is the exquisite attention to detail in its construction. The blade, made from N690 steel, ensures durability and sharpness, while the aerospace-grade 6065 aluminum handle, coated with a ceramic powder finish, provides a smooth yet soft tactile experience. The handle's subtle arch and ergonomic design offer exceptional comfort and a secure grip, making the Morel ideal for extended use during your foraging adventures.

    Inclusivity in Every Detail

Rob's dedication to inclusivity shines through in the Morel's features. The knife features a crossbar lock mechanism, a convenient thumbhole opening option, and dual pocket carry positions, catering to both left and right-handed individuals. In fact, the Morel is exceptionally South Paw-friendly, ensuring that all foragers can appreciate its utility and craftsmanship.

    Spice Up Your Outdoor Journey!

In the world of gardening and foraging, the Morel knife by Rob Saniscalchi isn't just a tool; it's a symbol of passion, precision, and the joy of exploring the natural world. Love the design but....

Love everything about this knife except the handle the handle is not good for $100 its an ok deal but if the handle was designed just a little better $100 would be a great deal, this is one of my favorite blade designs of all time with a very high quality steel, this knife would easily be 5 ⭐ with a more ergonomique handle, I hate to give this 3 stars because I love the blade so much and the action is great but this knife needs a rework of the handle I would easily pay $120 to $150 for this blade if the handle was better, it was a little bigger and every knife should have a deep carry clip this one is close but just like the thunderbird just a ½" deeper carry makes a world of difference to a lot of people in this awesome new pocket knife world we are lucky to live in
Good job Vosteed even though the 3 ⭐ im still happy with this knife

    Really disappointed

I really didn't like this knife. It's the worst knife i have bought this year.

    1. Two big hotspots at the end of the scales that dig into your hand.
    2. Not enough access to the thumb hole cause half of it rest inside the scales.
3.The pocket clip is too big and it's another hotspot.
    4. Lock bar is too strong.
    5. The Knife is too small and the thumb hole and lock are too close. It would have been better with thumstuds instead of the thumb hole.

    Morel - Crossbar Lock Knife

I like the design, for and finish of the Morel...... I had to add a thumb stud to the blade so that I could open it easier but that was a personal issue.
